In the community we were quite busy the past month. I had the privilege to present a parenting guidance workshop to a group of parents. Furthermore the GiG seniors prepared for their annual outreach to another senior community. This year the seniors of Mothwa Haven Dreamview in Rewlatch received the knitted woolies and other items that were gathered by GiG. Thanks to each senior for their hard work and giving themselves in serving others. Besides the outreach GiG also met twice during the month at Ligstad. On 25 June the Ligstad team participated in the annual Street Store held here at Ligstad. It was a privilege to serve nearly one thousand seven hundred community members and hundred and fifty volunteers on that day. Next year we will do so again DV. We also visited Alberton West at their “basaar” on 1 June where we manned the face painting stall. Many little faces were painted and received with joy only children possess. Thank you to all who assisted. Besides all the group outreaches I conducted twenty nine therapy session with individuals struggling with grief trauma and various other emotional matters. This work assist them to face life again.
