Alberton North showcased the essence of friendship and community spirit, demonstrating what we can achieve when united for a shared purpose. On Saturday, October 5, 2024, volunteers from various organizations, including Ligstad, LOTS (Life on the Street), Addicts Voice, Sole 2 Sole, Street Shower, and Rooftop Encounter Ministries, came together to organize a Street Shower event. Over 300 individuals benefited from services such as haircuts, nail care, foot washing, medical check-ups, showers, and the distribution of clothing and food. It was a heart-warming scene, filled with people fulfilling God’s will without expecting anything in return, all while knowing they were making their King proud. The presence of the Spirit of God was felt throughout the day. The event operated seamlessly, with each station fully aware of its role in ensuring success. The volunteers acted as instruments of God’s will, embodying the call to serve one another, love one another, and pray for one another. As stated in Matthew 25:40, “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
