From 19 January until 29 April 2024 I presented the Peer Community CoCare Program in partnership with LifeSpheres. This innovative and unique community program for people everywhere, is transforming lives, providing relief and release from the past, greater strength to embrace the present, and the ability to move forward, ready for the challenges of the future. The program was presented by myself (a qualified program facilitator of LifeSpheres). We did the forty hour workshop first where after the seventeen participants (all staff members of Amcare here in Alberton) continued on with CoCare sessions where they had the opportunity to address aspects of their past and situations they were currently struggle with. With each CoCare Session that passed they were more relieved and released more and more of the emotional baggage they were carrying with them. When we had our celebration gathering on 29 April they testified of changed lives, extra energy, new skills, knowing themselves better and above all they are now excellent listeners. At least one prospective program facilitator was linked with Diana Canant (the founder of Lifespheres) to be trained. What a privilege to witness lives being changed and to see the power of resilience. Funding provided, this is a program that I would love to do as often and in so many communities as possible. Congratulations to each participant who completed this journey. It was a hard one, but you have overcome the adversities from your past and you are better equipped to deal with the future challenges life will throw at you. Better still, you are able to serve your clients as open vessels to enable them to thrive too. The Alberton Lions club blessed our seniors of GiG with Easter Eggs. Thank you so very much, Penny.
