In the community the following is happening:
- Besides the fact the GiG seniors are still meeting bi-weekly, they are also hard at work to get their items ready for the “Tutela intergroepdag” that happens 13 March 2024.
- I am still busy with the Peer Community CoCare program in partnership with LifeSpheres for a group of social workers and social auxiliary workers of Amcare. They are busy with their CoCare sessions and help each other to deal with the trauma in their own lives. They named the group Bokamoso Our Future.
- We are growing in increasing excitement to host the annual Street Store in May.
- Alberton-“Oos” ‘Dutch Reformed church presents a function with Matthys Roets on Friday 5 April 2024. You are welcome to attend.
I have resigned as social worker of Tutela (one of our partners) in order to start a social work private practice in partnership with Ligstad. I started on 1 March in the ne role here at Ligstad. My office is here at Ligstad where I will be seeing both the Ligstad clients as well as the private clients. At present I am sorting out all the marketing and hope to be working in full force soon.
