| I attended a webinar last week where the speaker challenged us to live in the here and now. Her question, “What is here now?, had me deep in thought. We live a big chunk of our lives in one of two places (the past or the future) and forget about the present. She says that when we live in the past we rehash our lives and when we live in the future we rehearse our lives. On its own neither is a bad thing, but it keeps us from experience God’s Presence in the presence. See, God’s Presence can only be experienced by us when we are present with Him in the present. What are we not missing out on when we choose to be in any other place than the present? Yes, we need to plan and we learn from the past, but our beginning point and our focus should be on what we have in front of us right now. I know how easy it is to pitch our tents in the past and in the future, because that’s where I was comfortable for such a long time. God has plans for you and me that He can only reveal when we are present in His Presence. He will even help us to create the details of that plan. In order to experience this we need to pack up our tents in the past and future and enjoy the present with Him. Take up this challenge with the Ligstad team today.
