On Friday, June 20, 2025, the Ligstad Aftercare kicked off a fantastic weekend. One by one, they arrived at Ligstad for a family movie night held in the Ligstad hall. Everyone brought their takeaways and snacks, enjoying a family-friendly comedy. After the movie, it was time to party, and they danced with their glow sticks shining brightly in the dark. They also made a fire to roast marshmallows and create delicious s’mores. They stayed up late, having a wonderful time. The next morning, they woke up early to enjoy muffins and something warm to heat their bodies. Next, we spent some time in the presence of God, learning that we often face a lot of peer pressure, but that God provides us with the willpower to resist the temptations life throws our way. After our morning prayers, we boarded the Ligstad bus and headed to the Festival Mall. There, the youngsters enjoyed an exhilarating ice-skating session. Kids were slipping and falling all over the ice, but most, if not all, quickly got the hang of it. We concluded this wonderful day with a braai, delicious preggo burgers, and crunchy chips. A big thank you to every learner who helped make this day amazing, as well as to Uncle Peter, Aunt Carol, and Aunt Laetitia for their generous support. Lastly, we thank God Almighty, who has always guided and protected us throughout our lives.
