Ligstad and its friends experienced a memorable and joy-filled time recently! From giggles in the preschool sandpit to worship evenings and life-changing eye care, this past month has been nothing short of a blessing.
Ligstad Celebrated its 13th Birthday and to celebrate Aunt Amanda baked us a wonderful cake. But what would a party be without ice-cream? Thank you to uncle John and Aunt Suretha for the wonderful treat!!
We had a birthday celebration for our preschool sandpit as well! The little ones were all smiles as they brought brand-new sandpit toys to share and enjoy. Their laughter and enthusiasm filled the air as they dug, built, and played in the sunshine — creating new memories with their friends.
Our elderly community members also had their moment of fun with a lively Bingo Morning! The competition was friendly and the room was filled with the warm sense of togetherness that Ligstad is known for.
In a heartwarming gesture of care, the Alberton Lions in partnership with the University of Johannesburg visited Ligstad to conduct free eye tests for our community. Many were blessed with subsidised glasses, giving them not only clearer vision but a renewed sense of confidence and independence. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference!
One of the month’s highlights was an unforgettable animal show. Children and teachers alike were awestruck as they got up close and personal with amazing creatures — all scaly, a little bit creepy, but all fascinating! It was truly a wonderful experience for all involved.
What a powerful and unforgettable evening it was when Passion in Action and the youth of various Christian groups to participate in an evening of worship. The Ligstad hall was overflowing with believers, full of fire for the love of God. Everyone stood side by side, united by their shared love for Jesus!! It is our prayer that Alberton will only grow more and more hungry for more of God’s Love, Grace and Mercy.
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed their time, talents, and love to make our time at Ligstad so productive and joyful. With our Loving God and Father at the helm, we continue to grow, serve, and support one another through His mercy and grace.
