Highlights
- The God Is Good (GIG) group for seniors reached out to the residents of Corrie Oberholzer Centre with warm winter blessings
- The Protective Behaviors Program was successfully completes with our Grade RR and R class
- Parents attended a Parental guidance workshop
- Easter was celebrated with a church service for our seniors, and the aftercare reached out by spreading the gospel to the community
- We hosted the annual Street Store event
- The aftercare kids had their annual camp and enjoyed ice skating

How do Assist – Our needs
Ligstad does not enjoy the benefits of state funding. We rely on donations from individuals who share our passion. We are also in need of volunteers to serve our senior community members as well as our children at our aftercare. Many children who depend heavily on the help of subsidies in order to attend Ligstad. We are in need of funds and nonperishable food to help stretch our budget as far as possible.
Ligstad’s Impact
- Thirty learners receive quality ECD education.
- Lonely seniors’ social needs are pro-actively being met.
- Our partnerships allow for involvement in the wider community.
- Twenty-seven learners receive care and supervision at our aftercare which includes assistance with their educational development.
- Counseling services are provided to individuals and their families.
- We are the hands and feet of Jesus and you can play a vital role in this worthwhile endeavor.
